Anne Burrell

Anne W. Burrell, an American TV chef and an former Institute of Culinary Education instructor she is a popular TV host. She is the host of Food Network's Secrets of a Restaurant Chef and also serves as the host of Worst Cooks in America. Anne Burrell, with her signature spiky blonde locks and an energised persona on Food Network's Secrets of a Restaurant Cook series, reveals simple and easy to master methods for cooks at home. Chef Burrell has also worked at several of the most prestigious restaurants located in New York, studied the food culture and culinary traditions of Italy as well as competed in the Food Network's Iron Chef America. While living in the New York's upstate region, Burrell became passionate about food and cooking. She pursued her love of the restaurant industry by enrolling at The Culinary Institute of America following the completion of a bachelor's degree in English and Communications from Canisius College, Buffalo NY. The Culinary Institute of America is where I spent the most fun time of my life. I didn't have enough knowledge, couldn't achieve enough and couldn't push myself enough. After graduating, Burrell spent one year in Italy studying in the Italian Culinary Institute for Foreigners and working in Umbria's La Taverna del Lupo as in Tuscany's La Bottega del 30, an Michelin-starred restaurant. Her time spent in Italy helped her to understand and appreciate the Italian philosophy and culture, and this has left an impact on her own culinary perspective. Burrell is a celebrity ambassador of the Juvenile Diabetic Research Foundation. She has been on the Garden of Dreams Foundation Advisory Board that assists children with obstacles. Burrell travels extensively across the country in her role as a mentor as well as a public speaker in which she speaks about her career and love of cooking. Anne has, through her whole experience in the kitchen, has declared that it's a pleasure to have the opportunity to share this passion for food with other people.
