Antonina Shevchenko

Antonina Shevchenko, a Kyrgyzstani Muaythai fighter from Peru and a mixed martial arts athlete who is a part of in the UFC in the Flyweight Division is currently a Kyrgyzstani. She is the younger sister of former UFC Flyweight champion as well as co- UFC fighter Valentina. Antonina Shevchenko's combat sport career began with her debut as an Muay Thai competitor. Shevchenko debuted on the IFMA World Championship Tournament in 2003. Shevchenko took the title after which she defeated Suzane Mller with a majority vote. Antonina continued to win with a silver-medal in 2007, a bronze in 2008 and a gold award in 2011 and the 2015 IFMA Amateur Muay Thai World Champion. Antonia's professional debut came in 2003. In 2012, she took home her the WKC K-1 Light Welterweight World Championship and in 2016 the Lion Fight Lightweight Championship and in 2016, she won the WMC World Championships. Antonina's final fight was with Isa Tidblad Keskikangas at Phoenix Fighting Championship. The winner was a unanimity. Antonina Shevchenko set her professional MMA record in 2002 during the KFK Cup in Kyrgystan in a fight with Anara Bayanova. She won the fight via second-round TKO and also won her subsequent 2 fights in the WXF: X-Impact World Championships 2003. She compiled an overall record of 3-1. Shevchenko was absent from MMA in order to concentrate on kickboxing. She returned to fight Anissa Haddaoui at Phoenix FC 3, 2017. Shevchenko was able to defeat Anissa with a unanimous verdict and defeated Valerie Domergue on Phoenix FC 4 in the year 2017. She joined the Dana White Contender Series 2018 after leaving the promotion. Shevchenko defeated Jaimelene Nievera on Dana White Tuesday Night Contender Series 11. Antonina TKO'd Nievera with her superior striking abilities at the end of the fight by using knees on the body. Following this victory, Antonina received a UFC contract. Antonina took part in her UFC debut in the TUF Heavy Hhitters Finale with Ji Yeon Kim. Shevchenko was defeated by Roxanne modafferi by split decision after she won her first bout. Antonina was able to bounce back from the loss and defeated Lucie Pudilova at UFC on ESPN Covington vs. Lawler via second-round rear-naked choke, and was awarded the fight of the night bonus in the fight. Shevchenko had a 1-2 record during her subsequent three matches which included a win over Ariane Lipski, while falling to Katlyn Clarkagian and Andrea Lee. Antonina lost her last fight to Casey O'Neill via TKO at UFC Fight Night Santos -Walker.
